Of Salt & Sea began with a simple moment by the ocean.

After years of living with chronic illness and disability — and later losing my left hip — I had to relearn what strength and independence looked like for me. Being able to walk on the sand again with my walker became one of those unforgettable milestones.

As I collected shells along the shoreline, I was drawn to their imperfections. Each one was weathered, unique, and beautiful in its own way. I was reminded that sometimes the most beautiful treasures are found along the hardest journeys. Sometimes it is in our deepest pain, in the midst of life’s tossing and turning, that we find how truly resilient we are. That became the inspiration behind Of Salt & Sea.

Every necklace is handcrafted using a natural shell, making each piece completely one of a kind. My hope is that these pieces serve as a reminder of resilience, faith, and the beauty that can come from difficult seasons.

My vision is for Of Salt & Sea to become more than a jewelry brand — to encourage others, bring greater awareness to disability and accessibility, and one day help make places like our beaches more accessible for everyone.
